O Lord Revive Thy Work

here is a certainly need for revival in our individual life
as well as in the church and when there begins to be a lack of interest in
things concerning God and going to church becomes a routine, and not a thing of
joy, then it is time for revival. To revive, according to the complete
Christian dictionary for home and school, means to bring back to good health or
consciousness. It also means to come back into use again. You do not have to
look far to know that the church, needs to be brought back to good spiritual
health and consciousness of God.
There is a call for an increase of
interest in Christianity. While other religions are increasing in number and
are being revived, Christianity is decreasing in number. This is because,
churches are no longer interested in evangelism for the salvation is relegated
to the background and the gospel of financial prosperity is being highlighted
while men are hurting and perishing.
Is it not time for revival? The church has gone worldly
while the world has gone ‘churchy’. Should we not cry for revival and
restoration?!
