Keep Forgiving
“For if you forgive men when they sin against you,
Your heavenly father will also forgive you.”
Matthew6:14

hen our lord Jesus was asked by the disciples to teach them
to pray, he taught them what is now known as the Lord’s Prayer. In that prayer
is the statement, “forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us”(luke11:4). What it means
is that if we do not forgive those who trespass against us, neither will our
heavenly father forgive us our trespasses against him. This fact is further
re-iterated in mark11:25-26 which states, “And
when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so
that your father in heaven may forgive you your sins,” you’re not forgiving
those who hurt you will be a hindrance to God forgiving you your trespasses.
When
you consider how often you transgress against God and how as often as you turn
again in repentance, he forgives you, then you will be determine to also
forgive your fellow human beings who transgress against you several times. In
Ephesians 4:32, we are admonished to forgive us. When your brother transgresses
against you many times and comes each time to say I AM SORRY, accept his
apology and forgive.
Pray
to be like your heavenly father.
